audiophile | A | Excellent interview conducted by Terri Gross, one of the best in the business. If you don't listen to her dialy radio show, Fresh Air, shame on you. One of the few interviewers left who can ask tough and/or intersting questions, remain journalistically neutral, and get just about anyone talking, she displays her skill here by maintain a long conversation with one of the hardest men to interview in the music business. Essential.

recording. Except for
the snippets of album songs
they play. Radio broadcast
always sound like shit compared
to cd quality.
BUT the interview was
incredibly redundant for me.
Most of what was exchanged,
I've heard Tom speak of in
a hundred other places.
Didn't hear much new stuff.
I wouldn't say this was essential
at all.
